This is an emerging issue about the Graphical Analysis progressive web app (PWA), running in a Chrome browser, and does not apply to the native installed version.
There is a potential issue with the Bluetooth device support on Chrome browsers, version 127. On some devices, but not all, the Graphical Analysis 6.0 PWA tab will crash on connecting to a Go Direct sensor by Bluetooth. We have only seen this issue on macOS and it was first reported with Chrome version 127.0.6533.89. We anticipate that this issue will be fixed in version 128 of the Chrome browser, due about August 20, 2024. This is a Chrome issue, not a Graphical Analysis issue.
In the meantime, there are three workarounds.
- Use a USB connection to the sensor, if possible for that sensor.
- Use the native installed app on macOS, Windows, ChromeOS, and Android, instead of the PWA
- Try a different device. For example, we have found that of five macOS laptops tested, the failure took place on three.
When Chrome 128 is available, update to that version.
Should I use the Progressive Web App or native version of Graphical Analysis and other apps?
