Can I force DataQuest App’s graph trace colors for the Go Direct Light and Color sensor to match the color sensors’ wavelength colors?

Because of the way the DataQuest App assigns trace colors to columns, the trace colors for the three Go Direct Light and Color Sensor‘s color sensor channels (615, 525, and 464) will generally not match the wavelength colors (red, green, and blue). A quick way to get the sensor channels and trace colors to match (though only for the first data collection trial) is to set up the sensor as follows:

  • For USB connection―select all sensor channels, tap OK to set up the channels, then go back and remove Light and UV Blue.
  • For Bluetooth connection―select Light, UV Blue, 615 and 525 sensor channels when first connecting to the sensor. Then, once the channels are set up in DataQuest, remove Light and UV Blue sensor channels, then add 464.

Note: You can always manually set the trace colors used on a graph by adjusting the color in the Meter Settings or Column Options dialog for a particular sensor or data column.
